Iowa Energy Independence Plan
One of the responsibilities of the Iowa Office of Energy Independence is to develop, with assistance of many partners, an Iowa energy independence plan. There are many aspects to the plan including strategies for reducing the state's consumption of energy, dependence on foreign sources of energy, use of fossil fuels, and greenhouse gas emissions. The initial Energy Independence Plan and Energy Independence Plan Information Report were submitted to Governor Culver and members of the General Assembly on December 14, 2007.
